About

Fremantle Marriage Office at the Old Courthouse Fremantle

Be part of history.

The original Old Courthouse in Fremantle, is once again holding marriage ceremonies in a registry style format in its beautifully restored Civil Courtroom, for small, intimate groups of 2, up to larger groups of 80.

Built by convicts and with a history dating back to 1899 when it was first used to hold weddings, the Old Courthouse was closed in 2001 before being fully restored and returned to its former glory in 2021.

After your ceremony celebrate with drinks in the original Criminal Courtroom or in the expansive garden, before taking advantage of the endless possibilities for beautiful photos in the historic port city.
